San Francisco has the smallest urban canopy of any major city in the United States, and every year it loses another 4% to disease, attrition, tree-topping and illegal tree removals. But you - dedicated Dog Lovers and Dog Walkers - can help save our urban forest, and make sure that our city remains sustainable for future generations.
Dog Lovers and Walkers spend countless hours exploring San Francisco with our canine companions. We know the landmarks, the parks, and - importantly - the trees (thanks to our dogs!). If a tree is illegally removed or pruned, we are the most likely people in our neighborhood to know.
Don't worry, we will NOT share your information with ANYONE.
SF Watch Dogs is a project started by Josh Klipp, a dog lover and volunteer Tree Planting Leader with Friends of the Urban Forest. He and his wife, Sara, live in Potrero Hill with their two fur babies, Bunny and Billie.
